Different fragrance types differ in concentration of perfume oil: Parfum (Extrait): ~15–40% perfume oil, longest lasting (often 6–8+ hours) Eau de Parfum: ~15–20% fragrance, strong, lasts 4–6 hours typically Eau de Toilette: ~5–15% oil, lighter, lasts ~3–4 hours Eau de Cologne: ~2–5% oil, very fresh, lasting 1–2 hours Eau Fraîche: 1–3%, mostly water-based, minimal staying power
